Convenience in the Kitchen: Bing’s Food & Drink App

This post was created in partnership with Bing. With a type or a swipe you can search the web, the cloud, apps, and your PC or tablet, all in one place using Bing Smart Search on Windows 8.1.

Technology is constantly evolving. As I share this post with you, leading companies in the technology industry are working in the background to create new gadgets and programs to make every aspect of our lives more convenient.

The folks at Microsoft and Bing have done just this to make our cooking and baking experiences much more convenient, chic, and clean with the Food & Drink App app from Bing.

The Food & Drink App is not only a comprehensive directory of recipes from your favorite inspirational food sites and cookbooks, but also an app of sheer convenience. With a Hands-Free mode, your Windows-running laptop and tablet screens and keyboards will no longer be smudged with butter and covered in flour whilst baking. Simply enable Hands-Free mode and wave your hand through each of the steps when making any recipe from the app.

More convenient features include: Options to create Shopping Lists, Meal Plans, and Recipe Collections.

But the app doesn’t stop there with its awesomeness: There’s a section dedicated to Wines, and another dedicated to Cocktails.

Within each of the sections, there are Filters (Cooking Method, Course, Cuisine, Difficulty, Main Ingredients, Total Time, etc.) to help make finding that perfect recipe or Wine easier.

The app is all sorts of convenience and amazingness and is constantly being updated with more and more recipes. So, if you have a computer or tablet running Windows 8.1, be sure to go to check out the the Food & Drink App app by Bing (it’s free); it’s absolutely fantastic! And if you’re running Windows 8.0 on your system, be sure to download the new Windows update for free from the Windows Store.
