Perfectionism Sucks

Picture 43 Perfectionism Sucks

Dear readers, lets grab a couple of your bar stools and have a seat; I have a problem. I have a really big problem. Perfectionism. It kind of runs my life, and I can’t stop it!

And when perfectionism kicks (very often) in, I end up wasting more time than needed. Seriously.

Most people (well, at least my friends) know me for having everything done ahead of time, and always being organized. But lately, it hasn’t been that way. I have been the most unorganized fellow on the planet, and I regret it. Being unorganized led to me misplacing my camera wire (which meant no photo uploads, which also meant no posts!). I eventually found out that I didn’t misplace my camera wire. I found the wire mangled up by none other than our adorable evil little cat, Eve. She (or shall I say, the spawn of satan?) decided that it would be funny to hide my camera wire from me (for over 2 weeks, mind you) and then destroy it! No worries, I should have a new wire in a few days.

And once I have that wire, I’ll get back to being my super-organized self, and I’ll have you all (hopefully) drooling from some of my new recipe posts.

Until then, enjoy the new design (yes, another!). Oh, and it will stay the design for the rest of the year. That is my goal. I know, I know. Some of you are rolling your eyes right now, but seriously, I think I can control myself. I don’t think I’ll have too much time to re-design and code layouts, once I have more work to do.

Please note that I’ll still be making tweaks all night, so if you can’t see something properly, please send me an email via the contact form. Thanks ahead of time!

Love the new design. It feels very sophisticated and therefore very fitting. Don’t be too obsessed with protectionism and organization. A little bit of chaos and mess can add flavor to your life.

Hi Kamran, you are doing really well. I like people that are perfectionists. You will be going far in life. And do stop to work on your blog if you are not satisfied. I like it very much.

Looks design-spiffy. Yes, that’s a technical term. Very clean and will showcase your photography beautifully.

Love that you’re keeping us on our toes…perfectionists unite (I’m one, too!) Looks great–although I thought it did before, too. Hope you’re good and hanging in there with school.

Thanks for the kind comments, you all! Just as a side note- you see the rest of the sidebar? There will be another section added in there (with photos), to send you to a directory of recipes for each season. There will also be a visual recipe index in the near future, as well. I have already worked on how everything will look, I just need more recipes and photos to make them look the way they should. :)

Perfectionism. So you have the same problem as I xD
No kidding! Last week, we had to describe ourselves in the psychology class with only one adjective. I said, without hesitating,…perfectionist.

I know that sometimes is a bless and sometimes it can ruin you life T_T

I’ve finished my new design too, but less successfully than you: yours is AMAZING! Really, were did you learn to code and design this way? I love how clean and organized your designs are always :)

I’m not happy with mine, and I definitely won’t keep it all the year xD

I’m looking forward to see the definitive sidebar and all those cool things you told ;)

From one perfectionist to another… I feel your pain! I have a long list of things that I’m not happy with about my blog redesign. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I haven’t had time to get to any of them lately. Love your new look, though… It’s very sleek and elegant!

Oh naughty lil cat Eve. I like the new design and perfection runs in the females of my family too. it’s hard, not to mention when you throw in anal-ism and acute OCD. :S x

I go through stages of perfectionism. Then end up saying “it is what it is”. Which tends to be pretty darn good, as I’m pretty much acing my classes, but I definitely get the scattered feeling. Its never good!

As I said before, your site is gorgeous. Don’t doubt it.

lol, you are too cute! Eve sounds like a perfect ball of fluff! What are you doing to provoke her into stealing your stuff?
(Oh god. I sound like my mother-in-law! I’m too young to sound like a grandma!)

    Hey Kamran!
It has been so long since I have been on your site. Somehow I missed when your URL changed and I have been getting your feeds. HOpefully, I haven’t missed too much! (Fingers crossed). Probably a whole lot of drooling over your wonderful pictures. Although, I must say that I was lucky enough that your adorable (I mean “EVIL”) cat mangled your wire so I can try to catch up on some of your posts. :-) I’ve gotten back up to one post a week and next week I am going to try to get back to every other day. And someday, hopefully back to everyday. BUt we will see how much progress I have when the baby gets here. Check out my most recent post to see my 36 week prego pic! :-) I hope that you are doing well.

Wow!! Sorry this was kind of long. It seems as though this should have been an email. :-) Next time, short and to the point. :-)
